Why I Wrote This

Skinny Privilege Changed How I Think About Transformation

For years I didn't move. I understood that women were supposed to want to look a certain way, but no one had ever explained why. There was no intellectual framework. No permission. No evidence. So I went and found it myself. Economic history, psychology, career outcomes, romantic capital, healthspan. I pulled every peer-reviewed study I could locate.

What I found stopped me. Slimness isn't preference. It's system. The advantages are empirical, measurable, and extensively documented. Once I understood that my body was not private but political, transformation became strategic, not emotional.
